The homie Matt Diamond will be celebrating the birthday of a special lady in his life…his 13 year old Pit Bull Kira. The invent will be at Prospect Park and will take place on Sunday April 3rd. For more on this event, peep what Matt had to say, as well as playlist that he created after the jump.
That’s right…my lil lady tiger is turning 13 and to celebrate, I’m throwing her a Bark Mitzvah BBQ!! It all goes down this Sunday (4/3) in Prospect Park from 12-3:30pm. The barbecue will be at the designated cooking areas inside the park between 9th & 10th street and Prospect Park West. There’s an entrance to the park that you can’t miss on 9th St/PPW. Once you enter, head over to the BBQ stations up and to the right, near the ampitheater. To make it official, kosher food will be supplied by the holy rollers over at Mermelstein’s Kosher Deli. For my Judaically inclined peeps, the Kosher laws with regards to the food, fall under the Crown Heights Kosher supervision. Be sure to dress warm, although it’s supposed to be sunny, the temperature is only expected to reach the mid 50s.
To help usher in the festivities, check out Kira’s playlist which you can stream below. *Sidenote, If the ASPCA ever needs a program director, I think I’m their man. If you plan on attending, please RSVP by sending an email to email@example.com. Be sure to include how many guests you plan on bringing so I can order food accordingly. Everyone that RSVPs will receive a downloadable version of Kira’s Bark Mitzvah Playlist, featuring five bonus tracks, including “Who Let The Dog’s Out”, “Birthday” by The Beatles, “Simane Tov-Mazel Tov”, 50 Cent’s “In Da Club” (go shorty, it’s your birthday) and “Get At Me Dog” from DMX featuring Sheek Louch! Be sure to check out Kira’s photo gallery below. Hope to see you on Sunday…Shalom!
